The mission of Tampa Theatre is: To preserve Tampa Theatre as a dynamic cultural center. The Theatre celebrates the art of filmmaking and the heritage of the American movie palace by presenting artistic and educational programming in the context of one of Tampa’s most historic buildings. We believe that a diverse and complete film program is a key part of the cultural life of a community, and that preservation of special buildings like the Theatre contributes to our quality of life.
